Paragon Land Pros has partnered with Reef Capital Partners, who focuses on real estate equity investments and development projects. Reef Private Equity is currently developing a wide variety of projects, including the $1 billion+ world-class Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah, 150 SF lots and 300+ townhomes at the new Mayflower Ski Resort near Park City Utah, a 900 lot lake and golf community in Virginia, 300 apartments in Idaho, 48 townhomes in Eden, Utah, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
The Landscaping Crew Leader will be responsible for performing various physical tasks, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with the execution of various landscaping projects throughout Black Desert Resort. This position requires the ability to work effectively with landscaping equipment, lead landscaping crews and provide high attention to detail.
- Supervise and manage a team of landscapers, ensuring efficient work practices and high standards of quality
- Review and interpret landscape plans and designs to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints; provide regular updates on project progress and statuses
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the landscaping site, including soil preparation, planting, irrigation installation, and other related tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to mitigate risks and ensure team adherence to safety practices.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, other construction teams, and stakeholders.
- Perform various physical duties as assigned, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Effectively operate heavy and light equipment, depending on the specific requirements of the job site or assignment.
- Move tools, equipment, or other landscaping materials as needed, ensuring that all items are handled with care and placed in the appropriate location.
- Assist with other duties as needed to support the overall objectives of the project and contribute to the successful completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in landscaping, including previous leadership or supervisory roles.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following safety protocols.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug-test screening is required
- Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, plant species, irrigation systems, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings.
- Proficiency in using landscaping tools and machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Certification in landscape management or related fields is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
